Summary:
The SHADE project aims to address the uncertainties associated with the effects that operational decisions have on the long-term maintainability- and feasibility of a software asset and its development environment. SHADE aims to increase awareness about the evolution of software asset value and value degradation during the development process to help companies mitigate such degradation. The project thereby aims to answer the questions: How do we effectively identify, handle and mitigate software asset degradation? And, how do we aid developers to detect degradation in “real-time” during asset development?
